USAT&F Certified Course & Boston Marathon Qualifier
All races start at 9 a.m. The Marathon and 10K racers start on Lake Street in front of the Newfound Memorial Middle School located at 155 N. Main St, Bristol, NH 03222. The course proceeds north on Rte 3A, and the 10K racers turn at the appropriately marked turns and return to the finish at Kelley Park.
The marathon runners continue on 3A north to North Shore Road (8.3 mi) and turn left toward and through the village of Hebron and continue straight on to the turnaround (13+ miles). After retracing the route back to Hebron, the course turns south along the west shore of Newfound Lake, rejoining Rt 3A (24+ miles) at which point it retraces the route back to the finish line turning left on to Union St., right on to North Main and right to the finish at Kelley Park.
Important Notes
- If you’re running the half marathon, registration opens at 7:00 AM, and the bus departs promptly at 8:00 AM to transport runners to the starting line.
- Our race now has a seven-hour time limit. Runners still on the course after this mark will not have access to support or finish line services. An early start can be arranged in advance upon request.

Participants registered before 8/27 will receive a race shirt.
- Race day registration, price increases an additional $10
- Online Registration closes the Wednesday prior to Race Day. Any registrations after this time will be considered “Race Day Registration”.
- Race Day registration will be accepted Friday night at packet pick up / registration from 4:30-6:30pm or Saturday morning at packet pick up / registration from 7-8:45am.
Race Weather & Climate
Located near the southern end of Newfound Lake in central New Hampshire, just over 50 miles northwest of Manchester, Bristol typically sees mild to sometimes cold weather in October, which has brought record temperatures here as low as 12°F (in 1972) and as high as 85°F (in 1986).
On the day of the race, the average low is 37°F and the average high is 64°F.
